Welcome to The Ballyeglish Society
On this website you will find a variety of information relating to the ancient religious site known today as Ballyeglish Old Graveyard. The platform is not yet complete, as investigations into the burial place and its environs are in-depth and ongoing. Work is steadily progressing. At this point, however, there should hopefully be enough here to whet your appetite for knowledge about this storied location.
You will also find photographs documenting the headstones and other monuments, as well as information on the ongoing development work being undertaken by The Ballyeglish Society and others assisting.

We also hope that the content within will entice you to make the short journey to The Loup where you will find Ballyeglish Old Graveyard, a precious jewel set beautifully in the Ulster countryside just waiting for your footsteps, and contemplation.
